I have mixed feelings about this coat. It is very thick and heavy. It feels a bit stiff. It isn't lined. The inner tartan is wool too. I'm sure that this will be warm and would suit some serious winter temperatures. (European cold, not my Australian Winters) It is very casual. It has lots of room under it for a thick jumper/sweater. Initially I thought it was too big but the shoulders do fit. It's just a very relaxed slouchy cut.I bought my husband a Montgomery duffle, and I liked it so much I bought one for myself. It is a lovely coat, warm, made of nice fabric. The color is a darker camel. Based on the reviews, I ordered one size larger than I thought I would need. Even so, there's no room to spare. I wish the size charts were clearer, but even the ones on the Montgomery site were less than helpful. I did find a chart comparing UK and US sizes, and it indicated that standard US sizes are larger than their UK counterparts.I really love the look of this coat and it keeps me warm at the hockey arena. I only give it 3 stars because it isn't the best fit. I am a size 8 on top and am mostly uncomfortable in this coat. The shoulders are very narrow and it is impossible to wear anything more than a shirt underneath. A size up would be too big in mid and lower section. I will keep coat because it is the look I have searched for but will need to carry sweater along for cold winter days...Love, love, love this coat. Have wanted a duffle coat for years and when I saw this coat from Original Montgomery on Amazon I had to have it. Am very, very pleased with the coat -- it kept me warm on the coldest day and also kept the wind out. I love my coat so much that I also bought the short duffle coat. The coat is extremely well made and well worth any price. A must have in your wardrobe.I have always owned English duffel coats and this one is nothing like the ones I grew up with. The coat is stiff, not flexible and soft, very rough to the touch and feels as stiff as cardboard, it is well made, but would be hard getting in and out of a car due to it's stiffness and now I'm expected to pay return shipping for a very heavy and inferior product and I just renewed my prime. Be very careful when ordering and make sure you have seen every letter and word on the product you are ordering to make sure you can return without hassle. .Very nice coat, but just a little bit too snug for me.The picture shows the length kbelow the hips delivered it is too short.Item not as described, item received was only 70% wool, not 80%. Also having extreme difficulty obtaining a refund.Ein wunderschöner Mantel von sehr hoher Qualität mit schmalem Schnitt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt hier definitiv. Allerdings sind die Größenangaben genau zu beachten.Der Mantel ist sehr schmal geschnitten am Schulter und Brustbereich. Das sollte man definitiv bei der Größenauswahl beachten. Zudem sind es teilweise engsliche Größenangaben - das sind nicht die EU-Größen, daher vorher lieber nochmal prüfen.
